When a jet is the right tool

A drain cable is a drill. It opens a path. On an older Duncan lateral, kitchen grease and fine roots often cover the whole wall of the pipe, so the drain slows down again within weeks. Hydro jetting uses water at high pressure to scour that coating back to the pipe wall, which is useful on the municipal-sewer homes in the City of Duncan and connected North Cowichan neighbourhoods.

Access and the city connection

Jetting needs a cleanout we can reach without cutting a finished floor if we can avoid it. If you know where the cleanout is — often near the foundation, in a crawlspace, or just inside the garage — say so when you request an appointment. Sewage from these municipal connections is treated at the Joint Utilities Board lagoons. We are working on your private lateral, up to the connection, not on the city's main.
